The Rascals team and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyal custom over the past 12 years. Rascals started from nothing and has become a nurturing, loving and professional environment that we are so very proud off.

With the growth and success of the business means new challenges. In 2023 Rascals was forced to become VAT registered. For a grooming business this is rather unfortunate as we do not purchase a lot of items that include VAT.
For the past 14 months Rascals has managed to cope with eating up that VAT and making a significant loss.
Unfortunately we can no longer afford to do that, if we continue doing so it would have very serious consequences for the business.

This news along with the rising cost of living we are all faced with has meant that all our costs have increased.
We have made the difficult decision after 14 months to raise our grooming prices accordingly to prevent any further detrimental loss to the business. We want to maintain exceptional services and quality grooms, to achieve this we need to continue to use high end products and equipment that has all increased in price.
We also want to deliver the same high standard of care and service to you while ensuring we pay our team fairly and in line with the significant living wage increase.

We appreciate that everyone is in a difficult position and have been advised that having a blanket 10% price increase would be sufficient to stop any further losses. These new prices will be in effect from the 1st September 2024, and can all be found on our website under price list 1.

We hope this gives you time to plan for your next groom, allowing for the increase.

We are very aware that without our loyal customers we wouldn’t be in the position we are today, and for that we want to thank you in the form of re introducing a loyalty scheme. The loyalty scheme will involve customers getting £10 off every 7th groom.

We urge customers to remember that dog grooming is an unregulated industry, price can be a very misleading deciding factor on how to choose a groomer and in some cases, can be unsafe. Please do shop around if you are unable to pay the new price point, but please be careful and do your research when changing groomers.
If you need to cancel your appointments please message us at your earliest convenience to ensure you don’t apply any late cancellation fees or no show fees to your account.
